Jenny Davis is a Research Professor in the Institute for Applied Ecology, University of Canberra, ACT. The major theme of her research is to determine the critical processes that support the persistence of inland aquatic ecosystems and freshwater biodiversity under multiple stressors, including global climate change. She has undertaken projects on freshwater biodiversity and ecosystem management in all Australian states and Malaysia (Sarawak) and holds datasets spanning 25+ years for wetlands in central Australia and Western Australia. She recently completed a collaborative project, with colleagues in SA, WA, Qld, the NT and Victoria, to develop guidelines for climate change adaptation planning for arid zone aquatic ecosystems and freshwater biodiversity. These guidelines will assist natural resource (NRM) policy development and planning for a region covering over 70% of the Australian continent.
